This article is a follow up on my previous article Getting your Blog indexed by google using SEO part 1 where you got familiar with 3 main parameters involved in Search Engine Optimization.
I have already mentioned that the best way to get traffic to your Blog is by writing unique articles related to your keyword.Many other websites would use your article on their site giving you a backlink to your site.
This is how you get a lot of traffic to your site and make money Online.

Yahoo,msn and google are the 3 most popular search engines people use everyday.Among them google has the highest priority followed by yahoo and msn.If your get your Blog indexed on page 1 of msn you get say about 100 visitors a day.If you get your Blog indexed on page 1 of yahoo you get say 1000 visitors a day.
If you get your Blog indexed on page 1 of google you get 10,000 visitors a day.It all depends on what keyword you choose.If your Blog is on "making money Online" you get a lot of visitors.If your Blog is on "what happened during Stone-age" you hardly get visitors.So my advice to you guys would be selecting popular keywords like books,music,hobbies etc...

Getting indexed on page 1 of these search engines is seriously a big deal and if you wanna make al lot of money you would have to get on top of these lists.Google gets nearly 70% of the search queries,yahoo gets about 20% and msn about 7% and the rest about 3%.

No one really knows about the actual inside story of how they rank Blogs and websites.Some of them have been able to figure out a part of their tweaking process.
Earlier on google use Meta tags to rank Blogs and sites.For example if you create a Blog on "How to make money Online"google would index your work based on how much "money making Online"stuff you had on your site.If do a search on "making money Online" google would return thousands of sites related to "money making online" no matter whatsoever as long as you have those keywords in its meta tags.

Gone are those days when google used meta tags method to index a site.They have turned their attention to Blacklinks and Page rankings.

Back Links Technique

Google has come to a conclusion that it would rank pages based on number of Back links a page got from other relevant sites.Let us say for example your Blog is on "money making Online"and competing with million other sites for the same topic and you get 100 backlinks and none of your competitors had that many bakclinks then the likelihood of getting indexed on page 1 would increase.But it soon became obvious that many Bloggers concentrated on getting backlinks and regained their top places.

Now Google saw red and wan't pleased with these tricks.Then they decided to rank pages high based on relevant backinks from relevant sited not just backlinks.If you have a Blog called "Earn money Online" and try to link it to a "Shoe making" website you would lose rankings.But that still doesn't seem to keep Blogging junkies away from using foxy tricks.They soon figured a way out to create hundreds and thousands of Blogs and sites with full of replicated and duplicated content but with their keywords in place.They then linked all these Blogs back to their main "money making Online"Blog.They have a lot of relevant back links to their site.But how did they do that?They used those automated blog generation softwares to set up 100s and 1000s of Blogs.

Knowing our blogging buddies very well Google has lately changed their ranking system.Now you must have a lot of relevant back links from highly rated sites.You must also wait out an unspecified period of time in google SandBox until you get a page rank.

Page ranking

It is a mechanism of rating pages based on how relevant and important your site is.On a rating scale of 1 to 10 if your Blog comes anywhere between 6 and 10 then your site would be indexed on 1st or 2nd page.A page rank with 0 out of 10 is totally absured and unimportant.
In contrast a website that only has 10 backlinks but they are all from sites with PR of 5,6,or 7 will probably get you a page rank of 4 or more as Google will deem your site as important.
If you can get a PR 7 site to give you a link you will rank very well.
